When I was on my internship with Kristen Booth, I had the privilege to do my first engagement shoot:) I was pretty much excited like a kid in a candy store to be very honest!! Paulina and Juan will be FINALLY be tying the knot after being together for 10 years. You read that right and its not a typo...I said 10 years. These two to me have the real meaning of true love. They are high school sweethearts and have a son together. Kristen Booth will be capturing their wedding in a few weeks so keep an eye out on her blog for their beautiful ceremony! Now check out my favorites from their engagement session.
Finally, August has arrived and I got to meet MaKenna:)haha She contacted MONTHS ago about doing a couple shoot with her and her NOW Fiancee' Chris. Oh yes, Chris just proposed to MaKenna this past weekend up at Big Bear!!! They have been together since October 2007 and are highschool sweethearts. She was beaming from ear to ear with happiness that comes with after getting engaged. He also did a great job on picking out the ring, it was perfect just for her! I literally had a blast with these two, my side was killing me from laughing so much towards the end of the shoot and they were totally down for anything that I wanted to do. I can seem years, I mean YEARS from now sitting on their porch back home enjoying the life they have built together and still madly in love. Congrats again MaKenna and Chris on getting engaged!! That one is for Chris...hahaha
We have been planning Brandon's little visit to California for well over a half a year now. Even though we are 15 years apart, I LOVE LOVE LOVE being his big "Sissy". You can ask my mom that I have always wanted a little sibling and when my dad and stepmom had Brandon I was so happy!! But I didnt get to meet Brandon till he was almost 2. I loved every second spending time with him while I finished my senior year down with my Dad. Brandon has always called me "Sissy" since he could say it. And my other stepbrothers by their first name so I feel pretty special:) His mission when he came to California was to go to the beach, but it was a little late for that so before he leaves he will be making some sand castles. We went to Disneyland yesturday and he was so upset that we had to leave..poor guy. But he sure did have a blast and passed out on the way home. He grows so much everytime I got back home to see him. When he goes back to school he will be a BIG 1st grader, I asked him if he is ready and he told me NO.haha While editing these photos I see so much of my Dad in him!! Enough of me rambling, check out his photos.. His "Sissy, I'm done taking photos look:)" PS. Brandon: I love you more, times 100 million, 365 days a year:)
I was really excited when Mary contacted about doing Allie's 1ST BIRTHDAY cupcake smashing shoot:) She had contacted me back in May/June time frame and I was excited about this shoot since I knew it was going to be messy & fun with her smashing her cupcake. I then later met Mary when I was doing a babyshower shoot for one of my close girlfriends Tina was hosting. Mary was so sweet and I was happy to finally put a face to the name. The day of the shoot when I saw Allie while her dad Nate holding her, I thought she was ADORABLE..those BIG brown eyes!!! Nate & Mary are highschool sweethearts from Alaska. And have been in 29 Palms since 2008. Allie was born August 7th, 2009 and Nate came home December 2009 and met his adorable brown eyed daughter who was 4 months old!! I had a blast capturing this family and having Allie run circles around me. I was so honored to met her and tell her Happy Birthday the day of our shoot:)Check out these photos... I LOVE her facial expression...hahaha

Where do I begin for this blog?!? I could literally write everyone a book but I will spare you all! Sarah & I started our friendship back in 2007. Come to find out our husbands were in the same unit, the same company and we grew up an hour away from eachother back in Kansas. Time has literally FLOWNNNNNN by, 1. From making homecoming signs for our first deployment. 2. To the night Sarah called me to be her witness for her and Wes to get married back in June 2008. 3. Going through our 2nd deployment together. 4. She was so excited when I told her she was going to be an Aunt to our son. The best part, I remember the call saying she was PREGNANT and I was going to be an AUNT:)haha Sarah had a rough pregnancy but thankfully she had some amazing doctors to get her through. I was supposed to be there for Sarah's labor but it went a little to fast for my car to get there. My adorable little neice Kendra came into the world a month early on June 19th, 2010. Wes, Sarah and Kendra have been morethen just friends, they have become apart of my little family. Now check out my little neice and how adorable she is... Someone got a little mad, but its a cute mad face:)
