Name Change/New Start

Okay, so I think its time that I sit down and right the reason why all of a sudden no more Olive Juice Photography:) So here it is..

When I first thought to even start my own photography business I sat and I thought long and hard about all my options. All the possible names I could come up with for my new adventure. I wanted something that meant something to me personally since this was going to be my little "baby". When I thought of "Olive Juice", I knew that was the name for my new business. "Olive Juice" came from when and my husband first started talked via online. Granted we went to school years back, we both lived on the opposites of the state of Kansas. Yes, I'm a home grown Kansas country girl:)haha Anyways, back on track... we would webchat via webcam and one day Justin lips "Olive Juice" to me and I was a little shocked since I just thought I saw him say "I love you" to me. So I asked him and he asked me what I thought he said...I told him and he told me it was just "Olive Juice". I was really relieved since I wasn't really ready for "I love you" just yet!!!! Then ever since then, its been our little saying:) So there is the story behind why Olive Juice Photography came about.

But when I started my business, I knew NO ONE that even had the same name. I looked here and there online and didn't see anything. So, I thought I was in the clear:) Well I was contacted yesterday by another photography business that had "Olive Juice" in their name. I'm not going to point fingers but I have to give the jiff of what happened. But basically they have trademarked & copyrighted "Olive Juice" to their photography business name. I was in tears, I was a hot mess, my makeup was all over the place. I felt like I was just hit by a semi-truck. I sat here tried to collect my cool. I honestly thought my whole little business world was just like grands of sand in my hand now. So I contacted some of my most fab photography friends on the issue since they know the business. I sat here ran in my mind going to base legal, I ran fighting it, I ran not fighting, I ran starting a whole photography business with a whole new name, I thought of just stopping since my heart was smashed.

After I talked to one of my really close friends. I decided to not fight it, not make it some big deal. This "Olive Juice" business had the trademark, they had the copyright. They paid the BIG $$$$$$$ to get it that way too. I will be very honest and had no idea they even existed on this planet. So I wrote this business back and told them I would go ahead and change my name and get rid of my site and change everything. They were really polite and understand that I get some time to switch everything over to my new business name:)

So I thought that Tiffany McNutt Photography would be the best bet for me. Its my name, its me, I'm the photographer behind the lens. This whole issue was literally a blessing in disguise for me:) I'm still getting the kinks out of everything. I'm working on all my stuff to get it all together:) I know with the AMAZING support from my friends, family and my fans. I know this new change will turn out more then what I expected!!! THANK YOU everyone for all the support, love and everything else you have given me!!!

Welcome Home.Herrington

After being booked for over a year for this very special homecoming its FINALLY here:) I have been waiting for this day to come to be honest since the day Meagan booked it! I knew that it was going to be very special when Shane met his FIRST son Shane. I remember the feeling when our son met my husband for the first time when he was a month and half. So the emotions and feelings were right there when I was on the other side of the lens capturing this moment for them!! Also Shane is an amazing dad to two beautiful girls that had NO IDEA mommy went to go get daddy. They were waiting at home and had no idea what was going on. Meagan and Shane taped the whole thing since we had been waiting for 4+ hours. The girls were so surprised to see him and were just beyond happy!!!! I'm so happy that the Herrington family is back together again:) WELCOME HOME SHANE!!!!

Kristina + Greg.Couple

Get ready to laugh at the awesomeness that is about to be shown in this blog:)haha Kristina and Greg decided to have their photos done again before the holidays and before Greg gears up for yet ANOTHER deployment. Kristina and Greg aren't your average couple, they love being outdoors and hiking, deep sea fishing together, just something new when they get the chance!! I'm excited that I got to "shoot" them again:) Anyways, I have had this AWESOME/FUN idea for the longest time. I had told Kristina about but I knew her and Greg's schedule was super busy. So I put the idea on hold till she brought up doing another shoot:) Hahahahaha sorry I can't contain my excitment for all this. They were both great sports about everything and I had a blast as usual with them. Now if you havent already scrolled down to take a peek, check out the photos!

Welcome Home.Trantham

To me its really crazy to look back and see how much time has flown by since February when I first met this amazing family. I met Caitlin, Ryan and the adorable Miss. Eden before Ryan was sent off for another deployment when Caitlin scheduled a shoot. Miss.Eden wasn't even talking, walking, had her adorable crazy hair, teething and was about to turn the BIG 1. Now she is so adventurous, talks the "Eden" language which I'm really fluent in at the moment:)haha When I had an opening to do their homecoming I grabbed my phone so fast to text her. Caitlin wasn't having the best of days that day and that one text turned that day around for her!!! Through this deployment I have gotten closer to Caitlin and she has become one of my good friends and to be there when Ryan came home. I felt really honored to be honest!!

All the guys started to flood in off the bus so we were looking for Ryan. I saw him and was trying to show Caitlin where he was...I was yelling for him, waving him down so he could see his two amazing ladies who were waiting for him. When I turned to look at Caitlin to see her face, I started to cry behind the lens. Her face was so priceless to see Ryan after 7 long scary months, you couldn't help but cry for them. I'm so happy that this family is back together again!!! I can't wait to do their family photos in a couple of weeks:):) And my box of tissues are out...great:( WELCOME HOME RYAN!!

Briggs.Family

Mark, Lisa, Ryder and Trace kept me on my toes...well Ryder did anyways!! The Briggs Family have been in the 29 Palms area since 2007 and are ready to leave when they can. Mark and Lisa met 8 years ago in college in Idaho and its been love ever since. They love to bow hunt together, they try to go every year if Mark isnt gone on deployment:) Ryder is seriously a character all in his own. He was all over the place and was just having a blast being a boy. Trace, well he was taking a nice nap during the shoot till the end. He was a pure angel the whole time!!! The best part of the whole shoot was that Mark had to bribe Ryder with tootsie rolls.haha I'm telling you, he was a crack up.

Andrea + Chase.Couple

I seriously love my passion, my job. I get to meet so many unique, different people:) Andrea and Chase were nothing short from awesome. These two really made the shoot go by so smoothly and were cracking me up, well Chase had Andrea and I cracking up. And a little dash of the two cute dogs too and their crazy behavior!!!haha You wouldn't guess who's dog was who's if I wasn't about to show you. Andrea and Chase balance each other out so well and just being around them you can pick up on that. Chase is about to gear up for another deployment and I hope it goes by fast for him and Andrea. Check out the teasers:)
